NOTE (*): Social Security Offset Allowance need not be included in “Effective Salary” for Benefits Plan calculations. The allowance is added to total cash compensation for tax purposes (ie. On the W-2 Form for IRS). For cash flow management, this is most useful when disbursed in 4 equal amounts just prior to estimated IRS tax payments due dates.

NOTE (**): If the minister chooses to receive an auto allowance as a lump sum, (a) it is included in “Effective Salary” for calculating Benefits Plan, and (b) requires reporting on Schedule C of Federal tax forms.
