Westminster West Chester.  Chi Rho, the Wake Forest University Christian Men’s A Cappella Ensemble, is coming back to Westminster (West Chester) on Thursday, May 12. Please plan to attend their special concert in the sanctuary at 7:30 p.m., and invite your friends to come along! All ages are welcome. Admission is free; a love offering will be received. Chi Rho’s CDs will be available for sale in the narthex after the concert. Westminster member, Mitchell Dean, is a member of Chi Rho.  This is really a group the whole family would enjoy but we would especially like to let the senior highs know about it; this is a great group of young men who bring a strong Christian testimony along with their excellent music! EDITOR'S COMMENT

In my summary of the April Presbytery meeting, I made a brief comment about the Presbytery wanting to have discussions about tough theological issues in the way suggested by Rev. Dr. Jim Moyer and Rev. Kristine Hileman.  I mistakenly said that the Presbytery supports Sessions having a voice in the larger church.  What I had meant to say is:  I believe the Presbytery does indeed have the strength, perseverance, tenacity and will to have deep, meaningful discussions about our faith and about our theological view points in ways that are safe from a “vote,” and in ways that promote our dignity and our brother and sisterhood in Christ.

ONE GOOD IDEA

Rev. Dr. Robert Young invites interested clergy to a monthly discussion luncheon.  Bob says, "For several years, my wife and I have held a luncheon on the 2nd Monday of the month for clergy of Donegal who live close enough and want to come. We sit down at 12:15 and break up at 2pm.  It can have many or few, though usually between 6 and 9. It draws a broad spectrum of theological belief; and,  we learn a lot about each other. (It helps not to have to vote nor to prove anything to anybody.) Our house is 803 Spruce Ave. in West Chester, a block or two south of the main campus. I'll give better directions if you need them."  What a rich idea and generous invitation!  Perhaps others could model this type of discussion facilitation and fellowship.

If you have a good idea, I'd love to share it in this eNews letter.  Send it to me via: cgross@donegalpby.com  Thank-You Very Much!
