Doe Run Presbyterian does Extreme Home Makeover.  It was called the Maris 5 and 2 Project led by Elder Harry Johnston, Howard Folk and the men's group of Doe Run Church. Harry and Doe Run spearheaded a mission project to build a new ($400,000+) home for a family that had twins and three years later quintuplets. What a mission project it has been. Harry was able to coordinate donations and volunteer workers from several churches of varying denominations, plus several service organizations, in a fantastic mission.  The Maris family gratefully moved into the new home about a month ago.  This project is a culmination of prayers answered, a dream come true, and a real miracle.  Thanks and praise be to Almighty God!

Jeanne and Betsy decided on School Kits. Church World Service had requested these also. ONE GOOD IDEA

In summer crafts, make a wordless bracelet.  Put a gold bead, then a black bead, then a red bead, then a white bead and finally a green bead.  You will be able to tell people that the gold bead is heaven, where everything is perfect.  The black bead represents our sinfulness which separates us from God.  The red bead represents Christ's blood poured out for our forgiveness.  The white bead represents our forgiven-ness and clean heart through Jesus Christ.  The green bead represents our growth.  We more and more desire to grow in Christ's likeness and know Him better.  The bracelet can be a good reminder, a conversation starter, a summer activity for your family, or all of the above.

If you have a good idea, I'd love to share it in this eNews letter.  Send it to me via: cgross@donegalpby.com  Thank-You Very Much!
