MISSION INFORMATION

PC(USA) Home-Based Care Kit Program for our African church partners was a huge success.  We shipped over 1,000 kits to Malawi.  The Malawian government has now instituted a national program to provide these kits for home-based care givers.  We will no longer make and ship these kits.  Our role has shifted to funding the training of volunteers to provide physical and spiritual needs of individuals and families with AIDS.

Plan for your mission speakers now!  This is a sure fire way to bolster your mission efforts!  Visit www.pcusa.org/missionconnections Notice that the Hinderliters are home now and can be contacted at: C/O Lewistown Presbyterian Church, 17 East Third Street, Lewistown, PA 17044, (717)248-4561.

NEWS ISSUES FROM PRESBYTERY!

Kreutz Creek will receive new members on September 18th. This class of new members will put us over the 100 member mark. The 100 mark has traditionally been the launch number for new churches. Churches were granted a charter when they had 100 people committed to the congregation. Kreutz Creek was chartered in the 1800's but this milestone gives concrete figures to the resurrection and Pentecost that we have been experiencing at KCPC. We invite the presbytery to rejoice with us, and give special thanks to our sister churches who have supported transformation here. We are always happy to have you with us in worship but would like to extend a special invitation to celebrate with us September 18th, at 9:45 am. Peace and Blessings!  God is Good Marion Haynes-Weller

Taste and See at Camp Donegal's Harvest Happening on Tuesday, Oct 4th from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. Enjoy a day of fellowship, Bible study with Rev Jason Link, worship with Rev. Tom Milligan, great food and beautiful surroundings.  Total cost of the day is $15.  Register by calling Camp Donegal 717.862.3722 or email: amywade@unidial.com (do this by Sept 30th).

Nottingham Presbyterian Church is hosting "An Evening of Music" on Sunday, September 18 at 7:30 pm. There is no admission charge and the concert is open to the public. Gregory Pierson, organist at the church, and a few of his musical friends will perform selections for harp, piano, organ, and voice. Gregory, a 17-year-old senior at Oxford High School, has written compositions for organ which he will debut that evening. The concert is a benefit to support the ministries of Nottingham Presbyterian Church. Freewill offerings accepted. Light refreshments will be served following the concert. Come and hear this talented group of musicians from Oxford High School. Nottingham Presbyterian Church is located at the intersection of Rte. 272 and Baltimore Pike, Nottingham, PA, next to Herr Foods.

ONE GOOD IDEA

Do you ever have trouble finding your documents on your computer?  A Chief Master Sergeant in the Air National Guard taught me to number my disks (now - CDs) and then as a footnote on the letter or document, place the number of the disk followed by the subdirectory and file name (ie. 2:\Mission info\Letter to Hinderliters).  This would represent a letter on disk #2, under the directory name of Mission info and the file name is: Letter to Hinderliters.  In this way, files are easily found.

If you have a good idea, I'd love to share it in this eNews letter.  Send it to me via: cgross@donegalpby.com  Thank-You Very Much!
