Hurricane Katrina Response!  Paul Risk from Paul Risk Associates is inviting skilled and unskilled laborers to Gulfport MS to help build houses!  You can get more details by calling his receptionist, Jody, at 717.786.7308!  Paul is a member of Chestnut Level Presbyterian Church and is in Gulfport now with some of his builders. A family style ham dinner will be served by the Nottingham Presbyterian Church on Saturday, November 5, 2005, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. -- eat in or take out. Everyone in the community is invited to share this home-cooked meal complete with ham, parsley potatoes, creamed mushrooms, seasoned green beans, homemade applesauce, desserts, and beverages.  The cost per ticket is $10.00 for adults; $5.00 for children (ages 5-10 years); and free for children under age 5. Men's Fellowship Breakfast The monthly men's fellowship breakfast for November will be held at Fairview Presbyterian Church on Saturday, November 19th at 7:00AM and will include great food, wonderful fellowship and a discussion of what happens when "good men" are tempted. All men of the church and any other men of the community are welcome and encouraged to join in for what should be a stimulating and challenging look at how Christian men respond to temptation. Bring your appetite and share your prospective. Also, If you have a favorite photo (of any subject matter) bring it to display and tell others about. Lancaster Theological Seminary invites you to a celebration of former president Peter Schmiechen's latest book, "Saving Power: Theories of Atonement  and Forms of the Church." This event will take place Thursday, November 3 at  4:00 p.m. at the Seminary Refectory.  Peter Schmiechen will be joined by a panel of peers who will discuss the significance of theories of atonement for the faith and life of the church.  Book signing will begin at 3:30 p.m. A wine and cheese reception will follow the presentation.  For more information contact Dr. Bruce Epperly at 717-290-8759.
